  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Center
  •  Ensures the mainstreaming of the LGRRC facilities in the DILG Operations
  •  ldentifies and implements relevant actions related to the enhancement of the LGRRC . operations to include retooling of LGRRC members
  • Recommends to the LGRRC Adviser policies or programs to improve the LGRRC operations
  • Recommends to the LGRRC quarterly performance or as often as necessary
  • Supervises the LGRRC technical and support staff
  • Coordinates the effective and efficient implementation of activities lodged in the
    facilities/services they are made in-charge of

Multi-Media Knowledge and lnformation Facility

 

  • Provides repository facility and equipment on knowledge products and information through ICT and Integrated Library Management System (ILMS).
  • Provide a platform for the knowledge products and technologies, best practices and innovations. LGU Profiles and other data are made available.
  • Develop LGU and local governance databases, audio-visual materials and other KM product.
  •  Design, prepare and/or update regularly the Library Catalogues and the DILG website.
  • Provide IT support to all LGRRC programs.
  • Design holistic and comprehensive capacity development interventions for internal and external clients.
  • Deliver Strategic and responsive capacity development interventions to organic personnel and clients.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the delivery development and technical assistance to various clients.
  • Develop and localize capacity development materials.
  • To promote excellence in local governance practices and innovations through knowledge sharing
  • Facilitate the conduct of conferences, round-table discussions on exemplary practices, tools and processes, policy issues
  • Constantly communicate to stakeholders’ programs and activities of the LGRRC
  • Develop and maintain social media services and other tools to promote and establish the LGRRC online facility
  • Develop/rollout performance assessment tools to extract key information relative to the state of local governance.
  • Conduct regular performance assessment using the tools.
  • Generate assessment reports on the various performance assessment and ensure its full utilization. 
  • Communicate the result of the performance assessment of LGUs.
  • Identify exemplary and replicable practices on local governance
  • Update database on local governance-related data. 
  • Gather and stores all data pertaining to local governance
  • Analyzes collected information as the basis for the formulation of the capacity development
  •  Provides legal advice regarding queries on local governance laws.
  • Carry-out continuing legal education for various stakeholders of the LGRRC.
  • Develop compendium of legal opinions rendered by the Department as reference for the various stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all undertakings of the LGRRC are complemented with the necessary financial and human resources.
  • Ensure that plans of the LGRRC are reflected in the AOPB.
  • Facilitates financial requests and claims on the various LGRRC activities.
  • Provides logistical assistance in the administration of LGRRC activities
  • Maintain the physical LGRRC facility through the regular inventory of books, files, and other resources for local governance education.
  • Establish links and collaboration with regional line agencies, academe, NGOs and other regional LGRRCs nationwide.
  • Peer-to-peer learning, replication programs and sharing of best and innovative governance practices and pool experts are applied in this service area.
  • Ensure proper coordination and participation of the leagues in various activities of the LGRRC particularly in the delivery of capacity development programs
  • Link with LGUs, leagues and other stakeholders for the implementation of LGRRC activities
  • To conduct research on best practices and implements findings in the creation and promotion of innovative programs.
  • Assist the Core Team with future activities and programs
